The practical choice that doesn't feel like one
Not every booking is a red carpet. Sometimes it's six people and eleven suitcases coming off a flight at LAX, or a family weekend that starts in Porter Ranch and ends at a rental house in Malibu. The Escalade is the car we recommend for exactly that: three rows of real seats, a cargo area that swallows full-size luggage, and the calm, cushioned ride that makes an hour on the 405 bearable.
It's the same Cadillac presence as the Escalade-V without the supercharged V8 or the price that comes with it, which makes it the sensible pick for multi-day and weekly rentals. Guests in the back get their own climate controls and plenty of legroom; the driver gets a wide, curved display that keeps navigation and audio easy to reach.
Self-drive terms, in plain English
Self-drive renters must be 25 or older with a full driving license and full-coverage insurance of at least 100/300/50. Each day includes 150 miles, with $4 per mile after that. If you'd rather not drive at all — say, for a group dinner downtown — a chauffeur is available on request with no mileage cap inside LA County.
Delivered to the curb, or the terminal
A flat $125 covers delivery to LAX or Burbank, so the Escalade can be waiting when you land. Within 10 miles of West Hollywood delivery is free, and anywhere else in LA County is quoted before you commit.
